PULSE: How Trust Tech Solutions - TTS used Claude Code to unify video security, AI analytics and power monitoring into one platform

A use case built in Ecuador with Claude partner CTEC, and replicable in any operation that runs cameras, UPS units and HVAC.

‍No unified view and no single alerting system: cameras on one system, analytics on another, and UPS and air-conditioning units on a third. That's how Trust Tech Solutions - TTS operated before PULSE. And there was a problem no one could see: even the UPS units were dropping metrics without any warning. That's a critical issue in a country as vulnerable to power disruptions as Ecuador is.

The challenge: siloed systems and silent data loss

Video security, in-store productivity analytics and monitoring of critical equipment (UPS, HVAC and power) all ran separately. No one had the full picture, and each system raised alerts in its own way. Worst of all, the most serious problem was invisible. UPS readings stopped coming in without a single error being raised. Battery data was missing, and frequency readings were off by a factor of 10 (599 Hz instead of 59.9 Hz). If you can't trust your UPS readings, you can't trust your backup power.

The solution: PULSE, built with Claude Code

TTS designed PULSE, , a platform that runs entirely on an on-site NUC. AI processing happens at the edge, on Jetson Orin with TensorRT, and no video is ever sent over the network. Claude Code took on the most technically demanding parts of the project:

  • Hikvision Cameras: event integration and NVR playback via ISAPI.

  • UPS units: consultas SNMP con UPS-MIB, verificadas contra equipos reales.

  • HVAC and power sensors: data ingestion via MQTT or HTTP.

  • Rules engine: turns camera events and sensor thresholds into configurable alarms with push notifications.

Behind the project was also CTEC. As a Claude partner in Ecuador, CTEC handled Claude licensing for the TTS team and supported it throughout the adoption process. It also implemented architecture best practices that guided the solution's design from day one. That freed the TTS engineering team to focus on what mattered most: solving the technical challenges and building PULSE.

“Claude Code turned our engineers into a much bigger team: faster delivery, fewer dead ends, and code our people understand”

Patricio Ávila, Sales & Operations Manager, Trust Tech Solutions - TTS

Claude Code was decisive, and the evidence speaks for itself. The Hikvision camera integration, built on an embedded HEOP app, was completed without a single compile-flash-test cycle. Claude Code read the demo's 1,022 lines of C against the Node backend and found that the camera's multipart request didn't declare a Content-Disposition header. Multer would have silently discarded it, and the endpoint would have returned a 400 error with no explanation.

The outcomes

  • Less noise, more signal. A single person used to trigger up to 48 events in 30 minutes. Now there's just one per camera and event type within a configurable window: 60 seconds by default, adjustable per event type.

  • Recordings you can finally watch. The NVR sent H.265 over RTSP and failed identically in ffmpeg 6, ffmpeg 8 and VLC. Recordings are now downloaded over HTTP (ISAPI) and converted to H.264 for in-browser playback.

  • Power under control. UPS monitoring went from 6 to 13 of 13 correct metrics, verified against real hardware.

  • Data that scales. A single UPS polled every 60 seconds writes about 18,700 rows a day, roughly 400 MB every 90 days uncompressed. Per-category retention (90 days for telemetry) and compression after 30 days keep that volume bounded. History charts no longer send 2,880 raw readings per metric per day: the database aggregates them into a few dozen points.

To sum up: PULSE means visibility, integration and optimization

With Claude Code, Anthropic's agentic coding tool, and support from CTEC – Conectividad y Tecnología, a Claude partner in Ecuador, the TTS engineering team designed and built a platform that brings everything together. With Claude Code, TTS:

  • Went from up to 48 duplicate events for the same subject in 30 minutes to 1 event per camera and type.

  • Went from 6 of 13 to 13 of 13 correct UPS metrics, verified against a real Forza OLLV3K0 UPS.

  • Made NVR recordings that were previously unplayable viewable directly in the browser.

  • Can deploy the platform on a new NUC with a single command, no manual setup and zero code changes.

  • Built 22,000 lines of code across the backend, the Flutter client, the Python edge layer and a C integration running inside the camera: built with Claude Code in 5 weeks against an internal estimate of 4 months, including diagnosing the NVR's H.265 stream, which failed identically in ffmpeg 6, ffmpeg 8 and VLC.

Built in Ecuador, ready for the world
